2009 Adobe Design Achievement Awards Prizes

Win a trip to Beijing and cash!

Higher education students can submit entries created with Adobe software to earn a chance at winning recognition, travel, Adobe software, and winners receive cash prizes.

Individuals and groups may win in one of a dozen categories from three media areas:

• Interactive Media: Browser-Based Design, Browser-Based Design, Browser-Based Design, Browser-Based Design, Installation Design, Mobile Design
• Motion and Video: Animation, Animation, Motion Graphics
• Traditional Media: Illustration, Photography, Photography, Print Communications

Highlights

Note: Individuals and groups will compete with one another in all categories. The following list of prizes describes both individual and group.

Individual category winners receive:

• US$3,000 cash, a winner's certificate, and a 3D award
• Adobe® Creative Suite® 4 Master Collection education version
• Complimentary round-trip economy class airfare to Beijing and two nights' accommodation in lodgings selected by Icograda (while attending the awards event and Icograda World Design Congress)
• Free admission to the Icograda World Design Congress 2009 in Beijing, China
• A one-year mentorship with a design leader working in their area of interest or in geographic proximity. Mentors would be available to students in an online environment to offer work review, answer questions and provide career advice
• Be appointed to an Icograda Youth Advisory Panel. The Panel would be consulted by the Icograda Board to ensure that Icograda’s programming and policy is relevant not only to current members but also the next generation
• Be recommended as workshop coordinators for Icograda Design Weeks in 2010. Since Design Week programming is determined in collaboration with host associations, the number of opportunities that arise cannot be guaranteed

Group category winners receive:

• US$3,000 cash to be split by the winning team members and one 3D award
• Each team member gets his or her choice of the education version of either Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium (US$599 value), Web Premium (US$499 value), or Production Premium (US$599 value); a winner's certificate; and an invitation to the awards event
• Group's designated leader receives complimentary round-trip economy class airfare to Beijing and two nights' accommodation in lodgings selected by Icograda (while attending the awards event and Icograda World Design Congress)
• Group’s designated leader receives free admission to the Icograda World Design Congress 2009 in Beijing, China
• Group’s designated leader receives one-year mentorship with a Design leader working in their area of interest or in geographic proximity. Mentors would be available to students in an online environment to offer work review, answer questions and provide career advice

• Free admission to the Icograda World Design Congress 2009 in Beijing, China
• Portfolio review by a member of the Icograda Executive Board

Group finalists receive:

• Each team member receives a finalist’s certificate
• Each team member receives a choice of the education version of either Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Standard or Web Standard or a choice of three individual products
• Group's designated leader receives complimentary round-trip economy class airfare to Beijing and two nights' accommodation in lodgings selected by Icograda (while attending the awards event and Icograda World Design Congress)
• Group’s designated leader receives free admission to the Icograda World Design Congress 2009 in Beijing, China
• Group’s designated leader receives a Portfolio review by a member of the Icograda Executive Board

Individual and group honourable mention winners receive:

• One Adobe education version software product of their choice, an honourable mention certificate, and an invitation to the awards event
